Mahjong Logic to sponsor the World Mahjong Championship in Netherlands
Written by MahjongMahjong Logic the software provider of the well known mahjong site dragonkong.com has signed an agreement to as the main sponsor of the 2010 World Mahjong Championship, hosted by the Netherlands between the 27th and 29th of August 2010.
"It is a pleasure for us to contribute to the 2010 World Mahjong Championship," said Alm. "We are proud to be associated with the dedicated and ambitious World Mahjong Championship and we want to support them by signing up as main sponsor to this important event".
Alm said that Mahjong Logic will set up promotions within the network where one player can win one seat to the WMC along with a travel package for two persons.

The UK based Ukash, that sells prepaid vouchers for online shopping, is expanding its South African presence through an agreement with the store chain owner Shoprite Holdings Ltd.
South African can may purchase Ukash vouchers from 50 to 1500 rands at 560 Shoprite stores.
“Shoprite has a great footprint across South Africa and in complimentary locations to our existing partners in that market,” says Paul Coxhill, Ukash marketing director. “This [agreement] means that we are opening up our product to a wider demographic within the South African market.”
“The appeal of the product cuts across [these different groups of consumers],” Coxhill says. “The deal with Shoprite enables us to target both of these groups in a wider range of locations across South Africa.”European Mahjong Association Collaboration
The European Mahjong Assiociation and Mahjong Logic are pleased to announce having established an official partnership starting from the first of April 2010.
As a promotion of this partnership, the following tournaments have been organised:
10th April 2010 MCR
17th April 2010 Riichi (RCR)
Buy-in is $15, fee $1.50. Mahjong Logic adds on another $100 bonus to the tournament.
You can play several rulesets of mahjong, as International (MCR), Riichi (RCR), but also the traditional classic ruleset. It is possible to play with 1, 2, 3 or 4 player, and both single (quick) hands as well as full tournaments are offered. There are daily tournaments in all the rulesets.
Online ranking (MORSE)
The European Mahjong association will start after the summer with a new series of online mahjong tournaments, of which the results will be registered in the official EMA MORSE ranking. At the end of the series there will be all kinds of prices for the top performers.
